Ingredients for 4 people:

20 salted codfish gnocchi

400 gr. Pomodorino del Piennolo del Vesuvio

50 gr. olives ( black )

50 gr. capers

1 garlic slice

1 knob butter

herbs ( parsley and basil )

Extra vergin Olive Oil

Salt and pepper

Method:

Make a sauce “alla bella donna”. Put a pan of garlic and oil on the heat and fry them slowly. Add capers and olives and the thiny sliced pomodorini del piennolo del vesuvio at the end.

Cook all together for a little while. Add salt and pepper ( as you like ), ground parsley and basil.

Add the gnocchi to the pan of water and cook for 3 minutes. When the gnocchi have been floating for a couple of minutes, drain them and toss with salted butter on a low heat.

How to serve:

Place the sauce in the middle of a dinner plate, place on it the gnocchi, decorate with some fresh basil leaf and the slightest hint of pepper.
