In Positano, every evening Le Sirenuse and La Sponda Restaurant (Michelin Star) light four hundred candles creating a fairytale atmosphere. The cuisine is based on the quality of local ingredients and it is inspired by the Mediterranean tradition. A mandolin and a guitar play old motifs and accompany the tastings, with a breathtaking view. The chef is Gennaro Russo, who joined Le Sirenuse in 2014. His menus continue the light and Mediterranean setting given at La Sponda by his predecessor and “great master” Matteo Temperini. The number one rule for Gennaro Russo is to “have respect for the territory and local traditions and to use mainly local ingredients”.
